Mr. Wasbotten joined the firm in 2005 to manage its compliance and operational efforts. He has more than 15 years experience in television as a news director and station manager, and he continues to consult with local television stations with their efforts both on-air and online. His news teams have won a national Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Broadcast TV Political Journalism and multiple regional Edward R. Murrow awards. He is an assistant dean and on the journalism faculty at Penn State University. Mr. Wasbotten earned a B.A. in broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California and an M.S. in journalism from the University of Oregon.
