Mr. Garland has more than 25 years experience as an editor of business publications. He has been editor-in-chief of Financial Planning, the leading trade magazine for independent financial advisors; editorial director of Adweek magazine; and editor of Warfield's, a regional business magazine. He was also a cofounder and chief executive of Dads Media Inc., a startup that published Dads magazine. He has extensive knowledge of the financial services and media industries, and has produced custom publications for financial advisory firms. He has a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and resides in New York with his wife and two children.
